Rock Courtship a Rock Kiss Novella
By Nalini Singh
It all started with a memo…
When sexy drummer David Rivera met his publicist Thea, he knew this was the woman he wanted to share his life with. Unfortunately, Thea was in a relationship and she has some strict rules for herself, never, ever, never date a client.
Over the years David was a good friend to Thea. David was there to pick up the pieces when Thea’s relationship ended but she continued to keep him at arms distance reminding him she didn’t date clients. Now time has passed, and Thea has grown stronger which just makes David crave her more.
David is at a loss for what to do. Then along came Molly, Thea’s sister and his best friend and lead singer Fox’s girlfriend. Molly wants her sister to be happy and she thinks David could be that guy, so Molly gives David a tip to reach her sister. Write a memo. Molly tells David Thea can’t resist reading and responding to memos. So, David sits down and drafts a memo that he hopes will finally bring Thea around.
Thea Arsana enjoys her life as a publicist to A-listers such as Rock Band Schoolboy Choir. Thea knows how to kick a little ass and she rocks at her job. Its her private life that is lacking. Since her last relationship ended the only man, she wants to rock her world is drummer David but that would go against her rules about dating clients and Thea always follows the rules.
Thea has decided her fantasies of David need to stay that, a fantasy. Checking her email for the millionth time this day she is surprised to see a memo from said drummer. Curious, Thea reads the memo and her heart beats faster. The memo was well written, and David has made it clear he is up to the challenge to win her attention. Thea responds and the battle of the memos and battle far Thea’s heart is on!
This second installment of Nalini Singh’s Rock Kiss Series, Rock Courtship is an adorable quick read as a novella. Even though the story is shorter, Singh didn’t skimp on story line or the heart. I fell in love with David and Thea’s story and they became my favorite of the series. I recommend starting the series off in order with Rock Addiction and reading all the stories. You too will fall for the boys of Schoolboy Choir. I found myself wishing they were a real band just so that I could go see them in concert!
